Description:
On Holy Thursday, Christ in the City will be sponsoring a Seven Churches Pilgrimage with dinner to follow. We will start the night at St. Louis Bertrand, located at 1104 S 6th Street, following their Holy Thursday Mass. If you would like to join us after this station, meet in the vestibule of the church at 6:55 PM. We will then traverse throughout the Louisville Metro and end the night with sung night prayer at St. James Church on Bardstown Road. Dinner at BoomBozz in the Highlands will follow shortly after that. If you are only able to make a few of the stations, that works as well.
At each station, you will have the opportunity to pray, contemplate, and read Holy Scriptures. If you do not know what to pray or read, we will provide suggested Bible readings and prayers on the pilgrimage.
Since part of Lent means going on a journey together, we recommend carpooling for the event. Note that if you do meet us at St. Louis Bertrand, the gates to the parking lot close at 9:00. We advise that you either park and ride together from a separate location, or park at St. Martin's between the St. Boniface and Holy Spirit stations and carpool from there.
For more information on the tradition itself, check out the article here: https://todayscatholic.org/a-holy-thursday-tradition-pilgrimage-to-seven-churches/
